Hi! Welcome to my page of Wild Cactus.

Growing up as a middle child, I knew what it was like to feel left out and lonely. I never wanted anyone else to have that same experience, but I realized there wasn't much I could do for others, since I did not understand every person's experiences. I wanted a better understanding of human behavior and development, so I pursued a bachelor's in psychology at the University of Texas at Tyler. From there, I continued my educational journey and gained my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas.

As a therapist, I specialize in working with teens and adults seeking to address anxiety, depression, life transitions, and/or trauma. I use a client-centered approach integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT). I tend to be directive and solution- focused, while maintaining a safe supportive space for my clients. In this, I welcome all persons of diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences to be their authentic selves.

I truly enjoy finding collaborative ways to aid clients in finding empowerment, authenticity, and rationality.

When I am not working, I am either with my partner, friends, or pets. I love trying out new restaurants or recipes! If the weather is nice, I will either be on a trail, having a picnic, or watching my dogs run around the park. When alone, I like to find some quiet time with a good book.
